Create with Tinkercad

Tinkercad 3D Creation

Tinkercad is a 3D design program for kids. Students can work through lessons that focus on a small set of skills at a time. Once students have mastered the tool, they can create objects of their own.

Tinkercad projects can be...

  • Embedded on a website (like this)

  • Experienced in AR with a Merge Cube

  • Printed in 3D

  • Multiple Tinkercad objects can be added into CoSpaces for a VR experience.

Mystery Object Creativity/Design Challenge

Here's an object created with Tinkercad. What do you think it is? What do you think it could be used for? Work with a buddy to decide what you think this object could be used for, then improve the design by making your own copy & tinkering it.

Tinker This

Sample Solution

Multi-Fountain is the name of my object. I chose this name because my redesign is like a drinking fountain or a water fountain, but it dispenses liquids other than water. My redesigned object will be used to dispense things like a water fountain that isn’t a water fountain. My redesigned object will not only have fountains for humans but it will also have a smaller one for dogs that dispenses water or dog food. You can put whatever you want in the fountains. In mine, the human ones have water, cola, orange soda, lemon-lime soda, and cherry soda. I made three of the objects and put them on a wall. I added buttons and a dispenser. I also changed the colors to make everything look nicer.

Google Site - Design Challenge

8th-grade Cog students at Karrer and Grizzell ended the 2020 school year by participating in this Mystery Object Design Challenge. Their learning, collaboration, and work was done remotely! Teachers provided a website with clear instructions and tutorials, then utilized Google Meet office hours for students to ask questions.

Created with Tinkercad

Rhonda's Castle (1YQ YGJ) and Mystery Object (1YX ERK) were both created with Tinkercad, then exported into Merge Miniverse.
