"Para sa Kawani, Para sa Bayan"

The Social Welfare Employees Association of the Philippines (SWEAP) is the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) employee union.  The SWEAP is committed to educating, organizing, and mobilizing fellow workers in the public sector, particularly in DSWD, towards protecting and promoting the rights and welfare of fellow government employees and the Filipino public (para sa kawani at sambayanan). The SWEAP believes this can be achieved through militant, progressive, and nationalist public-sector unionism.
