Our first unit project was about surveys. My group chose for our survey to be about uniform policies and if they actually worked. We asked questions like if students wear their blazers every Monday, how often they wear their full uniform, and if their future occupation required a dress code. These questions were helping us get closer to our answer: Are uniform policies actually enforced? My role in this project was to collect data and show how other students feel about the uniform policies and if they actually follow it.

This experiment was showing how you can make objects float without using fuel, only heat from the sun and wind. This idea started when in 1967, Buckminster fuller came up with the idea of a floating city using something called a geodesic dome, which is essentially a sphere made of triangles, and the bigger the sphere, the stronger it gets. In 2015, this idea came back by a man named Tomas Saraceno, who created an aero solar sculpture--a sculpture that floats using only wind and sun--and this sculpture broke world records because usually sculptures that float use fossil fuels.
We used that information with our experiment, and had to made a trashbag float using only a trashbag, tape, and our surroundings. I wanted the bag to have as much air in it as possible, since I remembered that the bigger the sphere, the stronger it would be. I also had to look out for when the wind would blow so that I could use that to my advantage. Once we got the air in the trashbag, we taped it up so that no air would come out. Our trashbag didn't last very long in the air.
