Drew Charter School is a place that helps students grow both academically and personally while preparing us for the future. The school emphasizes building strong relationships, developing leadership skills, and exploring opportunities that help us succeed beyond high school. What makes Drew different from other schools is the variety of programs and activities it offers. From leadership teams and honor societies to athletics and community service, there are so many ways to learn, grow, and contribute.
Although I did not choose to attend Drew myself, I am grateful that my parents did because this school has given me experiences I could not have found elsewhere. Through varsity cheerleading, I have learned teamwork, discipline, and the importance of encouraging others. Serving as a peer mentor has allowed me to guide ninth and tenth graders through the challenges of high school while helping me grow as a leader and build confidence in myself. Volunteering with programs like Book Buddies and the Caron Treatment Center has taught me empathy, responsibility, and how small actions can make a real difference in people’s lives. These experiences have allowed me to build meaningful relationships with classmates, teachers, and members of my community while preparing me for the future academically, socially, and personally.
