Students that chose to work in the human room on their passion projects were split into two groups to inform others about how humans can positively impact the environment. Students learned that they could use the three R's - reducing, reusing, or recycling - to help protect the environment. Students either created a game or created an infographic to teach others about humans changing the environment for the better.
Students used coding in order to create games in order to promote humans positively changing the environment. With the help of Mr. Weems, students learned how to use codes to bring their games to life by creating characters that actively helped the environment, collecting pollution in settings such as the ocean or the park. After completing their games, students tested one another's in order to provide feedback to make them better. Once students finished revising their games, they used Google Slides to write the directions and share how their game promotes helping the environment.
In the Human Passion Room, scholars learned about how humans are negatively impacting the environment through air, land, and water pollution, as well as deforestation. Students researched ways to help alleviate and/or solve these problems. They created infographics to educate others about these harmful effects and promote potential solutions for the environment. Take a look at their excellent work!
