During this quarter, students identified as changemakers and used Drew's design process to create solutions for the negative impacts plants, animals, humans, and the weather have on the environment. Students began by understanding the problems caused by each impact through classroom discussions, field trips, and guest speakers. Students further developed their ideas, created prototypes, tested their designs, and later worked together to evaluate and modify their passion projects. Ultimately, the second grade students went through each phase of the design process.
