Who Do You Speak For? #Changemakers

Second Grade Project Based Learning

Project Summary

Throughout this unit, students viewed themselves through the lens changemakers in order to solve real world problems in the community. Students learned about the impact of changes on the environment caused by humans, weather, plants, and animals. After completing investigations on these topics, students picked a passion project in order to inform the community about the problem and their plan to help solve it. Students chose to work in groups or individually to complete their passion project. Students also worked with local musicians through our Sound Learning partnership with Georgia State University to write lyrics to a song about how each of them are changemakers in their community.
