Epic Elements Chemistry Research Part 1

For this project, my group had to research metalloids.

Molecular Art 

In chemistry, we have been discussing the different types of bonds. These bonds include ionic, covalent, and metallic. Covalent bonding is responsible for the bonding of dyes and paints to papers, fabric, etc. My art above shows the covalent molecule carbon dioxide. I chose to do this because air is very important to human daily activity. People usually think of oxygen when think of air but it also involves carbon dioxide.  My art includes a person breathing out carbon dioxide and a tree which is taking that carbon dioxide (to convert it to oxygen.)  I created this by using a pail to create a sketch of the person, carbon dioxide, and tree. Then, I used water color to paint the objects. I also used a paint pen to label the molecule.
