Black History Month Project
For Black History Month we were instructed to do a presentation on a person of our choice. The person I chose was Esperanza Spalding, a famous jazz bassist. The reason I chose her was because one of my favorite things to do is play the bass so I felt that I really connected with her on that level.
Sundiata App
In class we read a book and a graphic novel about Sundiata. He was the founder of the kingdom of Mali. We read about his challenges, what his life was like, what he accomplished, and what he did for the greater good. After we read it we were instructed to make an app based on Mali and were to include things like, the food, a map of the kingdom, and a little about it.

Sundiata Graphic Novel
In class, relating to the Sundiata App we read the graphic novel about Sundiata, the founder of the kingdom of Mali. For this assignment we had to make our own graphic novel page. In the book Sundiata was a hero but in his early childhood he was not treated well by the people in his village, my idea for my novel page was his griot, his adviser, to be asking him why he did what he did nd if he regrets it. It was a question I had after reading the book, so I wondered based on his character what he would respond to the question.
