Chemvas typography
In chemvas we learned how to make a typography using sketch.io. We used different elements from chemistry. My typography was made using rulers and different items that are in a chemistry class. I also changed the background color to a light shade of green. I also used a outline to make the E more pronounced.

Artist statement: For my element I have silicon.. The reason I made the shows its layers is because silicon is often found in the different earth layers and its also found in quartz which is why I drew the different structures in my art.

I made a clay tablet with my element number on it. The process was making the tablet and using clay and making the different details for my tablet. The clay undergoes a chemical change when it reacts with the head from getting fired. Some difficulties were that some of the letters fell off of my tablet. If I were to do something different in the future, I would have put the letters on differently
Deeply Rooted was a whole grade level project for 2nd quarter, which sought to answer how symbols can reflect cultural differences and similarities. We researched the use of symbols around the world and came up with our own symbols that reflect our modern lives. In Art class we created hand made paper and Borax crystals which we used to make symbols. I chose to make shark , which symbolizes strength and also authority. Stuffing the shark was diffucult and next time I will make sure to make my shark bigger. On the day of the showcase, our work was featured alongside performances representing cultures around the world.

Principles of design
Principles of design
The first principle of design that is showed in my picture is balance. The reason I for this is because I made sure to make both sides of the painting show an object and I also left the middle a bit empty. I also made the plant in the pot feel more balanced because I made two branches growing out of it on each side. The second principle of design that is showed in my painting is movement. The vine in my piece of art looks like its moving back and foward.
