My name is Nyles Dobson, and I have been a student at Drew Charter School since kindergarten. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, has shaped my experiences and given me a strong sense of community. From a young age, I have built lasting friendships and developed a deep connection to my school, where I have grown academically and personally over the years. Attending the same school for so long has allowed me to witness my own progress and appreciate the support system around me. As I reflect on my journey, I am grateful for the opportunities and lessons that have prepared me for the next chapter of my life.
Personal goals : My goal is to become a sports physical therapist who helps elite athletes overcome injuries and return stronger than ever. This passion began after a back injury during my 10th-grade basketball season, which introduced me to the impact physical therapists can have on both physical recovery and mental resilience. I’ve been accepted to Emory University on a basketball scholarship and Mercer University on an academic scholarship, and I’m currently deciding between the two. No matter which path I choose, I plan to study Kinesiology and eventually earn a doctorate in physical therapy. My dream is to work with professional athletes while also promoting injury prevention and advancing the field through innovative rehabilitation techniques.
