This project dealt with different aspects of Food - where it came from, how it impacted us, and who had access to it. We learned about food deserts, ceramic dishes, and the Columbian Exchange.
In Art, we created ceramic pieces, all either dishes of some kind, or art pieces about food. This slideshow shows the work my group did. My final piece was a yellow butterfly mug, featuring a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly, because our work was inspired by North America.
My partners for this project were Regie Ingram, Madison Ford, and Jordyn Jennings.
In World Literature, we created recipes based on the foods involved in the Columbian exchange and their meaning to us.

In World History we learned about the Columbian exchange. We were then assigned either the Eastern or Western Hemisphere, each bringing in an ingredient from that hemisphere. We were randomly put into groups with other students from our region and had a cook-off, where we had to create recipes using all of our ingredients.
My partners for this group were Atticus Forstater and Maya Aquino.
