This my art work that was made digitally in sketchpad. We were asked to make ChemVas typoagraphy in skcetch.io. We aslo had to do the type of typoagraph where we decided to make the word "chemVAS" out of chemistry and art theme. Also we had to use any creation to that I've learned on the online site skcetch.io. I also learned how to do cool things in skechpad souch as the cool effects and drawings. For the chemesty theme I chose to go with tool that I use in chemisty and for the "C" I used one of the periodic table elements. For "VAS" I did a art theme because "VAS" stand for visual art studies.  This is my work!

Artist statement:

I was assigned to create an image that best represents my element. My element is sodium. So I decided to first draw 3 images which help me get here to my final design. Out of my 3 designs I chose to draw salt to represent sodium. In Photopea I used the tools and my what I learned. It was difficult to add texture to the salt. I was glad that I used the principle of design. Next time I would like to like to be more of a crystal formand cave.

Deeply Rooted was a whole grade level project for 2nd quarter, which sought to answer how symbols can reflect cultural differences and similarities. We researched the use of symbols around the world and came up with our own symbols that reflect our modern lives. In Art class we created hand made paper and Borax crystals which we used to make symbols. I chose to make a windmill, which symbolizes how you can do one thing can open up more doors. I also chose to made a crown with a heart, which can symbolize loyalty or love. Making the paper was difficult and next time I would like to make color contrast to make it noticeable int the PBL. On the day of the showcase, our work was featured alongside performances representing cultures around the world.

In my illustration I showed emphasis and pattern design. Emphasis is when something is outcast in the picture whether its shape, size, and/or color. Patten shows a repetition of shape, color, and size. I showed emphasis when I drew the heart which stands out in the picture as a color, shape and size. I also showed a pattern because the background shows a repetition of purple,blue and green. Those are the principles of design my illustration shows but there could also be more principles in my picture but those two are the ones that are obvious. 

This is my Density artwork. The colors I used  were Black, Pink, Purple, and white. We had to different color paints so show density because different pigments of paint have different densities. I learned hat the more dense the paint it it sinks in the canvas and if its less dese it appers more, if you look closely I pourd black but you can barley see it , which tells us that the black is more dense. 

This is my copper art that I made using Copper, Fire, and Air. Today I learned that when you combine Copper and Oxygen i creates oxidation. I also learned why the statue of liberty is green and that it is made of copper. An oxidation occur to an atom/ion loses electrons.  This is my final look of my Copper art.

I am Kristine Allen and I believe AI is  going to have a big impact on human life. As humans we are so into our phones and social media, believe everything. It is hard to tell what’s real and what’s not and if AI will make a good or bad impact on humanity.

As a teenager part of Generation Z, I have seen some of the progress AI has made and how it has affected people. If you're walking to check out of a grocery store you have the option of self checkout which has helped people to move faster but also decrease the amount of workers. All I'm just saying is that AI has effects on human society. 

Having AI  is like having no privacy. Imagine someone always in your business and tracking you wherever you go. Yeah it can tell your location just in case of an emergency and it may help you with your everyday life but it can hold your personal information which can be dangerous because if the system is not secure,  a hacker can get your information and blackmail you.

 AI’s may cause the human race to become lazy. I know it’s true because there are many things that would have been chores that take away time but now AI handles. For instance we have robot vacuum cleaners that turn themselves on, vacuum the floor and return to their resting places. We no longer have to vacuum our own homes. There are also AI babysitters like talking stuffed animals and dolls that evolve and change with your child’s attention. The worst part is that people become dependent on Al and stop growing, learning and experiencing forgetting that Al is based on a database of complex information. People can begin to rely so heavily on Al that it could override what someone can do.Al cannot provide you with actual experiences. It is like a tour guide that can tell you what's offered but you have to go for yourself to get the actual experience.

Just a few days ago I saw this Ad pop up on my instagram about GPT4 and chat GPT.  GPT stands for generative pre-trained transformer, which is a program that can realistically write like a human. GPT4can take images as well as text input that gives it the ability to describe the humor in unusual images, summarize screen-shot text, and answer exam questions that contain diagrams. The Ad explains how GPT4 has achieved impressive results such as scoring in the 90th percentile for state exams, passing the bar exam with 80% increase over the previous version. Achieving a 99% success rate in all applications and passing the SAT.ChatGPT is an app that allows its users to interact with an artificial intelligence chat bot.Over 100 million people are using this app to ask questions in search of funny answers, see how well it can create content, improve their writing skills, find and correct a bug in codes, or summarize books. Which tells us that this AI isn’t just smart but it learns faster than an average person.

Stephen Hawkins staled, 'Artificial Intelligence could be either the best or the worst thing ever" Understanding that artificial intelligence is using a computer to mimic or duplicate the functions of the human brain. Personally, I would have to agree with Hawkins as I read and understood what was shared regarding artificial intelligence. The system is delivered through the clouds, it analyzes large volumes of data,it understands complex questions posed in natural language, and proposes evidence-based answers that make me immediately think about Siri, Alexa, or even Google dot. The applications or devices can help awake you, remind you of appointments,provide directions, answer questions and they respond accurately in a human voice. They can follow commands spoken like play music, what's the weather like in any country, and much more.

Elon Musk as you would know as a billionaire or the owner of Tesla. In 2019 Elon musk warned us that the danger of AI is much greater than the danger of nuclear warheads by a lot. There are apps such as voice.ai that can make you  sound like any person in the world. Recently Ai companies have been able to stream universal music by your favorite artists such as Drake, Ice spice, Rihanna, Travis Scott,pop smoke, kanye west, and justin Bieber to mimic artists to transform them to artificial voices that can be anyone in the world. Which can cause the artist or person to be blackmailed but it's so hard to tell the artificial one from the real person because it sounds so accurate. 

Movies such as “Megan” and “AI” give us an idea of where the future is headed. It is kind of scary to think that the human mind could possibly be replaced by an artificial one. I’ve watched plenty of movies about AI taking over humanity such as  “I,Robot”, “Better than Us”, JUNG_E, and “I am Mother” which shows content of AI taking over humanity. All I can say is that it's right in our faces and we need to wake up and make a change, before it gets overrated. And destroy human society, even now people are now not allowed to make purchases with cash but only digital cash or card. I went to  the Hawks game at the State Farm Arena and people with cash were being turned away.  This is how AI has devalued American money to prevent people from eating at a game. As the process migrates you can see that it is already negatively affecting Americans.  In a positive way as i was typing this paper, AI was suggesting what I should type and showing errors and correcting it  like my iphone does. WAKE UP! WAKE UP! All I'm just saying is that AI has effects on human society.

In creating my stain glass product, I had to demostate my understanding of the geometric vocabulary I learned in this class. This is my stain glass that I created using my shapes, such as squares, rombus, perellagrams, rectangles, and 2 congruent triangles. My inspiration for this design was from a previous glass from last years stain glass. The 3 elements of art that I used was color,shape and texture. The 3 principles of design that I used were pattern, variety, and repetition. This project relates to proof, which we are learning because when creating this stain glass we had to use spacific shapes which we learned about such as the measurements, angles, and diagnals. We also measured our shapes so we could tell he difference between the shapes by using graphing paper before trcacinging and painting the glass.
