In geomerty i applied transformatons by designing a video game with 3 levels. I turned my vieo game into a animation. The goal of my game was to teach about different transformations while making it fun and interesting. In order to complete my game, translations, rotations , reflections , and dilations had to be used. It was important theoughtout the process that we remebered the differences for each transformation. A translation is a slide, rotations rotate around the Y and X axis , Reflections reflect on the Y and X axis , and Dilations make the shape bigger or maller.
In World History I learned about religion and the history of stained glass. Stained glass is when colorful geometric glass shapes come together to make a piece of artwork. Stained glass originally started in ancient Mesopotamia and eventually became popular in other places and in other cultures.
In Geometry I learned about the properties of parallelograms and used the properties to design a piece of stained glass. The inspiration for my stained glass was Christmas theme. I chose Christmas theme because around the time we started our project it was on Christmas break. The shapes I included in my design were Squares, Circles, Rectangles , Rhombuses and Parallelograms. I made sure that my parallelograms abided by the properties of parallelograms which are Opposite sides are parallel. ...
Opposite sides are congruent.
Opposite angles are congruent.
Same-Side interior angles (consecutive angles) are supplementary.
The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
Sector Area and Arc Length Activity
In Geometry class , we found the sector and arc length of a Cookie. We did this by taking a ruler and a protractor and measuring around the cookie to find the sector area and Arc length and inside the cookie. We then cut them into uneven pieces to Measure for the Arc length. What i learned from my findings is that even if you cut a cookie or object into uneven but equal pieces , they will always equal eachother.

This is my topic that i chose for my final for Ms.Stokes. We had to survery atleast 60 people and create a frequency table. Then using the data that we found we had to create 3 more frequecy tables and this includes Frequency by column , Frequency by Row, and Frequency by whole table. We then had to state a key finding with each table. Then we had to list one takeaway from this experience, people who benefit from my study and one bias we find within our study.
