Epic Elements Chemistry Research Part I

Copy of kayla, carter.mp4

Our story takes place in a time BC. It has all of our school subjects in it which made it  even more fun.  The main subjects that we used were History and Chemistry.

Carter Kayla Jermiah Research Part I- Due 9/3!

For the epic elements pbl projects my group had to research halogens . This is what me and my group came up with.

Weaving  project in Visual Art

We watched a edpuzzle on how to weave then we either hadd the opprotunity to weave or make a cute heart using colored construction paper.

This is my Recycled textiles project. I used yarn and braided it so it would be easier to mold into the circle shape ( creating covalent bonds) . Then i drew my background and paintied it in. After that i hot glued my circles onto the background creating my flower.

This is my Visual Data for Chemistry. I asked 41 different people to pick a different colored marker ( eaach marker had a emotion attached to it ) and to mark which one they were feeling that day. I then recorded all my data and drew it in the form of bubbles. Bigger bubbles show that a greater amount of people felt that emotion and the smaller bubbles show that less people felt that emotion that day.

My artwork is supposed to represent the molecule Carbon Dioxide. I use my TinkerCad model to show how carbon dioxide is in the air and everywhere around us. I used the beach as my background because of the water cycle and its just a good background. I think engineers and architects will use some of the design tools that I have used to make my artwork.  For Principles of Design I used Variety (the different shapes and colors) , and I used Pattern ( the carbon dioxide molecules).

ReARTions RESEARCH !

The Columbian exchange is a time period where people, things , and diseases were forcibly transferred from the Europeans onto the Native people. Our project relates to the Columbian Exchange because of how we were spilt into two different hemispheres and we had to make our own type of dishes using the food that's only in our hemisphere. My hemisphere is the Eastern hemisphere (The Eastern Hemisphere refers to the area of the Earth east of the prime meridian and west of the International Date Line. This includes much of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the islands of Oceania). Once we got into our hemispheres, we were spilt in half again making 2 Eastern hemisphere groups. Even though we were on the same hemisphere, We couldn't share any of our food and had to stick to what the group brought for us. This made it harder for us to make dishes since we couldn't share any of the food between the 2 groups. This project helped me understand the Colombian exchange better because how the world would turn out if the Colombian exchange didn't happen and how the people before the Colombian exchange decided on what food they wanted to make.
