Poetry Presentation
In this project we were tasked to use the knowledge we had about figurative language to create a poem, song, rap, etc. For the past few weeks we have been learning how to use and fully understand the 6 types: Simile, Metaphor, Alliteration, Personification, Onomatopoeia, & Hyperbole. My partner and I decided to create a rap which is presented to the left.

In this project we were offered the opportunity to write a book in order to become a published author. I was able to complete this and publish my book! It can now be ordered by clicking --> HERE

In the process of creating our book we we're given the task to make a video of how our book writing process was going. In the video we talked about what our book was about in the beggining and how we were going about writing it.

I was able to reflect on my book after successfully completing our book in order to see the growth and how much we have changed our book to create the final product today.

The "I am Poem" is a poem that we created during the Poetry Unit and we were able to express ourselves in the poem discovering who we really are.
Empowerment Conference
Empowerment Conference
My empowerment conference speech project was a task that helped us to work on oru public speaking. We were able to choose a topic dealing with a social issue to speak about on stage in front of an audience for 3-5 min. I am working with a partner speaking about the topic "Why do we vote?". Below is both the Speech and a reflection video of how I believe the conference went.
