ChemVAS is a class where science goes hand in hand with art to create and design different pieces. For this assignment, we created Typography of the word ChemVAS using things commonly used in both Chemistry and Art. We learned to use a digital art platform to create varieties of shapes, textures, and lines. I liked the fact that we were able to explore the different aspects of art and it allowed us to be exposed to a new look at art. The only thing that may have been difficult was the distribution and balance of the art and making sure the pictures conveyed the right letters. 

We learned about the different views and angles that art can convey and how to use them in our drawings. In this drawing we went in the PBL lab and used our eye level to draw something we saw in the PBL. 

In this project we used the tools we knew about in Photopea to create a picture depicting the elements we were assigned. I was assigned to Argon which is found in small traces specifically .045 ppm in the ocean which is shown in the waves of my picture. My picture depicts the argon element shining a light into the ocean with shields around representing how argon is a protectant to reactive metals with a sea floor added for depth. I used layers and overlapping to create the wave affect with the different colors and used the opacity to create a sense of perspective like the ocean is going deeper.

For the past few weeks we have been working with chalk to create and recreate images. We have learned the techniques of shading and erasing to depict different images in 3D, 2D, and more. It has been a great experience to see how much I have developed in chalk drawings but I didn't really like how messy it could be. In this project I have learned patience in drawing and how chalk is created overall which was quite enjoyable.

For this project we had to show different elements of design in my drawing. I used Chinese ink to display this in my landscape drawing. Movement and rhythm were msotly used in my drawing with the use of diagnal lines and different shades for texture and soem form of rhythm. I enjoyed using the ink and I like how all my drawings turn out with it.

In this project we combined aspect of chemical reactions with art. We were tasked with using a chemical reaction to create our own unique art piece. I used the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar. By adding different colors to the vinegar before it reacted on the paper with baking soda it created a beutiful image. It also was able to represent many elements of art and design such as space, texture, color, and shape. 

In this project we creating iron pieces. We did so by first using wax to mold the shap we wanted. Then we used our chemistry skills to create and incase it in plaster to then be melt the wax from creating a mold. Once that was completed our teacher poured the iron in at home and when brought back we were able to break open our plaster molds to find our iron pieces. It was a great experience and I loved my pendem.
