Hola, mi nombre es Jordan Weems y soy un estudiante de 11 grado. La trata de mujeres es un problema porque muchas mujeres mueren a causa de enfermedades y otros problemas. Además, la trata de niños es muy mala porque están separados de sus padres. Necesitamos hablar más sobre el tratamiento. No sólo porque la trata es mala, pero también porque necesitamos encontrar a todos los que han sido detenidos.

This project is about trafficking all over the world but we are mainly focusing on the conflict of human trafficking with women and children. My project is built on an article I read about the countless dangers of human trafficking in Latin America. While reading the article, it broadened my mind to many problems that exist outside of the media and the United States. It is crucial that as humans, we are aware of human trafficking due to the reason that it can happen to anyone at any time, so we can implement change and bring awareness.

For this essay, we read two passages about Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X and compared their views on education and how it shaped their views on freedom. It took time to find the right evidence, but it helped me understand how both men used learning as a way to gain independence. Writing this taught me how powerful education can be.

DNA Replication Infographic

For this assignment, I created an infographic on the steps of DNA replication, describing each step in my own words and including the enzymes DNA Polymerase, Helicase, and Ligase. I also explained the products of DNA replication and why it is considered a semi-conservative process. To present the information clearly, I used a free template on Canva to design the infographic.

Film Video TV

Digital Tech has opened my eyes. I never thought film would be something I enjoyed, but I’ve discovered that I love being behind the camera. Filming, learning about different angles, and even directing has become something I genuinely look forward to. I also really enjoyed learning about different types of shots and exploring the work of various actors and directors over time. I love directing because it lets me use my imagination in ways I didn’t know I could and allows me to have fun while bringing ideas to life. It’s given me a new creative outlet and shown me a side of storytelling I didn’t expect to fall in love with. I worked with my friends Maddi C and Hannah! Melvin created the film, and the actors are Sarah P., Eniyah C, and Joseph R. in "Andy's Coming" and the actor in "How to Stop a Bully 101" is Jacob H
