ChemVas

My project was centered around the group Halogens. It was quite a unique group as it contained an element who's properties were unknown. The project in itself was a good teamwork exercise, as we were forced to work with people we didn't know, and whom we likely would never have worked with if not forced to. It puts you in a position where you either cooperate or face consequences. The most prevalent artistic concept throughout our project was the creation of our slides. For our video, we chose to do a stop-motion slideshow, which in and of itself was quite tedious, though rewarding in the end. Overall, I enjoyed finishing the project, and the accomplished feeling that comes with it.

This project has consisted of us learning different artistic methods like knitting, weaving, knotting and pulping. The current one we're undergoing is Making Fibers / Recycling, where we are attempting to make something functional out of plastic bags.
