Physical Science Assignment
First we emptied the water bottle, and then got 3 straws and taped them to the water bottle and made sure they were leveled. When the bottle didn't stand on its own, we added one more straw. Next, we filled up the bottle, halfway with vinegar. Then we got a single piece of toilet paper and added baking soda in the middle of it. After that, we put the rolled up baking soda and went outside and put it in the water bottle. Next, we put a cork inside of the water bottle. Then we shook it up and turned the bottle up-side down. It did not expand, it stayed in the same spot.
Physical Science Assignment
In physical science, I used a simulation to investigate the relationship between mass, volume, and density. I measured the mass and volume of different objects, calculated their densities, and used that information to predict whether they would sink or float in water. I also tested an egg in different liquids and observed that objects float higher in denser liquids. This activity helped me better understand how density determines an object’s behavior in different substances.
