I created a poster that explains the immune system, including its function, the three lines of defense, and the roles of different leukocytes. The immune system protects the body from harmful pathogens and keeps us healthy by recognizing and fighting infections. It has three lines of defense: physical barriers like skin, the innate immune response that acts quickly, and the adaptive immune response that targets specific threats and builds memory. The nine leukocytes each play important roles, such as attacking pathogens, producing antibodies, and helping the body remember and respond faster to future infections.
For this assignment, my classmate and I created a 2–3 minute presentation about an endocrine system disorder. We explained the normal function of the endocrine gland or hormone involved and how the disorder affects the body. Our slides included the progression of the disease, hormone imbalance, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. We used credible sources from the last five years, included a video, and added a reference slide. The goal was to clearly explain the disorder and its real-world medical impact.
For this project, my group and I created a song/rap about the muscular system. We included the names of major muscles and explained where they are located in the body. We worked together to write the lyrics and make them creative while still showing our understanding of muscle anatomy. The project was graded based on creativity, accuracy, and presentation.
