In ChemVas Art, we made pottery glasses based on different cultures and symbols. We researched different types of pottery to create a table setting inspired by one of the countries/locations. The goal of this project was to use or make dishes to have as a dining table or a place for us to eat on. In Art, my group chose to make a glass cup. We decided to make this because it was easier to make than every other dishes. We started brainstorming and then we sketched it out, the we sculpted it. It relates to the Colombian Exchange because the spread of ideas of information, and influences relates to our pottery being influenced by other cultures. My group members were Sydney Gaines and Suri Cook.
The conflict we were propoganding is Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter started July 13, 2013 as an anti-racism motive to speak about the fierce towards African Americans. Black Lives Matter promotes peace towards to citizens who feel unfair as a black community. This conflict is important because it takes away the rights of millions as well as the peace. The government can help by implementing proper laws towards this group.
