Our first Argumentative Essay was based around whether Frederick Douglass or Malcolm X's views on education were more valid. We were tasked to compare and contrast what they believed, and then write the essay arguing our position what fundamentals of their beliefs we agreed with. I learned to make a thesis, and support that throughout the essay with evidence from the text. We also dove deep into ethos, logos, and pathos, discussing how both writers appealed to their audience. 

We created a one pager summarizing the first part of our class reading. I incorporated images, quotes, and symbols relating to the book.

We created a series of google slides talking about the advantages and disadvantages permitting AI in the classroom.
