The assignment that I did in physics was the bouncy ball experiment. The propose of this project was to find out the relationship between the bounce height and drop height of different balls. We dropped a rubber ball. A lead ball, and a ping pong ball. The ball that experienced the most coefficient of restitution(the amount that a ball bounces) was the rubber ball. When dropped from the highest height of 60 cm the ball bounced 56 cm. The ball with the least amount of coefficient of restitution is the lead ball. The lead ball only experienced a height of 7 cm when dropped from the highest height of 60 cm.
We also did a momentum project that tests the momentum of the carts when they hit a heavier cart. the second part of the project we had to predict what the momentum will do when they gave us a speed and a weight for the cart.
For Physics we welcomed a new teacher Mr. Vanderplate. During his time we did a project where we made houses and learned about circuits. In these houses we had to have four rooms and three citrus interacting with the house. They could be lights or speakers etc... All the circuits have to be different. One has to be a complex, one has to be a series, and one has to be a simple circuit. My group member was Ellis and when doing the project we had to overcome some obstacles like when the pool flooded the house and the floorboard had to get ripped up due to water damage. But thankfully the water damage didn't render the clients satisfaction and budget of our design.
