In World LIT, over the course of the first semester we will be making our own books in class. Each book will be 60 or more pages. 5 Pages will be due per week and story development musts also occur.
Once we finish these books we will be publishing them on Amazon. We figured why not make money for a school project so you can get some real world feedback and have a purpose come out of making the book to the best of your abilities.
We have to be able to recite poems. Each poem is very different in terms of language difficulty, length, etc. So far we are going into our 4th recitation.
The biggest grade we received this year was a 60 page book. This took several months to make, but unfortunately for me I procrastinated and finished all 60 pages in 1 month. I feel like my writing was still quality work, and could be published. We were going to go through with editing, making final revisions, and ultimately publishing the book. Unfortunately quarantine has made a dent in that process, and will no longer be happening. I would feel the need to publish my book, but the book that I wrote won't make me any money, and would just cost me money.
