Active learning happens when students engage with material, participate in the class, and collaborate with each other. At DPS our students don’t just listen and memorize; instead, they demonstrate a process or apply a concept to a real-world situation. Learning by doing has encouraged our students to think out of the box. It is this child centered approach where our students participate rigorously and bring about efficient learning experiences.

Delhi Public School gave its students a platform for activity-based learning in virtual teaching. Activities have made students interact. Students enthusiastically participated in the same and took up the opportunity to learn online with the same zeal.

English active learning strategy - Hangman Activity

To develop the vocabulary related to the lesson “Who Will Be The King?” we used Hangman activity as a Dictation on the whiteboard wherein students were asked to guess the words by filling in the missing letters to complete a given word . This activity helped us to revise the key words related to the lesson.

During hands-on activities, students work together and foster teamwork skills. Hands-on learning improves their cognitive understanding of the subject material and social skills. Through group activities, students learn how to find solutions diplomatically, delegate, and work as part of a team.

Shining stars of DPS, Nashik high spirited our Religious and National festivals by FISHBOWL activity. Class was divided into 5 groups , one of them took out chits from the bowl .Whatever festivals they got they had to identify and speak a few lines on that . Rest group members had to speak about how they celebrated that festival last year. They recalled their sweet memories. They learned and enjoyed about all Religious and National Festivals in Joyful way .
