Once you have been selected by your teacher preparation program and have confirmed placement in Denver Public Schools, please begin your application and onboarding process. All student teachers/residents will need to complete the following:
You will click on the link above to register and create an account. Once you have created the account, you will be prompted to enter in your information and complete a few questions.
After you complete the application and background check:
You will receive an email from Talent Acquisition confirming your background check has cleared, and will outline any outstanding items that are required prior to your start date, including instructions about your DPS ID badge & access card.

Student teacher candidates have the option to substitute for pay on non-internship student teaching days. Once they have their CDE Substitute Authorization, they can apply to be a part of the DPS Substitute Guest Teacher Pool. View the DPS Job Board and search for “Guest Teacher” to apply or email HR_Guest_Teacher@dpsk12.net for more information. We look forward to working with you!
