Praxis Information

Passing your Praxis exam is one of the four things you need to earn your teaching license. The Praxis exam that you take depends on your content area. Below is some more information about the Praxis.

How much is the Praxis?

That depends on your exam. Check with your university program to determine which test(s) are best for your specific content area.

Denver Public Schools does not provide financial support for Praxis exams.

What if my primary language is not English?

Praxis tests are only given in English. If you are a test taker whose primary language is not English, you may be eligible for extended testing time. Test takers who meet ETS requirments will be allowed 50 percent additional testing time. PLNE accommodations are not offered for language tests.
