Welcome Back to School Kaiser Families!
Welcome to 3rd grade!
About me:
I am Miss Richter and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my fifth year teaching and my second year as a Kaiser Leopard. I am originally from Minnesota but have lived in Colorado for 8 years and absolutely love it! My mom lives here as well as my older brother, but my older sister lives in California, so I love to go and visit her. I enjoy all things outdoors. I spent a lot of time this summer hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and climbing with family and friends. I also enjoy being at home reading, cooking, gardening, and throwing a ball around for my dog, Baylor.
About our learning:
We will do a lot of great learning this year! In literacy we will do a lot of great reading and writing about different countries and cultures and how they access books and education. We will learn more about wolves and their habitats, and water education. In math we will continue learning about strategies and patterns for double digit addition and subtraction as well as learning to use multiplication and fractions. In science we will learn about force and motion, life cycles of plants and animals, and Earth systems. In social studies, we will learn about what makes a community and make observations about the past and present of Denver. We will also learn about regions of the country and world and more about money through economics.
This class homepage will be a great resource for links and information that we will use throughout the year. Please reach out if you have any questions or need any support! I look forward to a great year together!
Best,
Miss Richter
