Dear Kaiser Families,I want to take this time to reintroduce myself to you and let you know some of the ways I am here to support you and your students during remote learning. This is my 1st year at Kaiser. I have been a teacher, parent and leader at Sabin (fun fact, I was also a Sabin Stallion). I am looking forward to making Kaiser my new family. Please know that I am here for you.I have a son, Keegan, who is a 6th grader and a daughter, Makayla, who is a 4th grader. I understand the uncertainty of trying to ensure that I support my own children in their learning and working from home. This is an uncertain time but what I am certain about is that you will be supported by the incredible staff at Kaiser. We want to make this as easy, fun and engaging as we can to allow your child/children some time to reconnect with their teachers and their classmates, while continuing their learning. My hope is that as we start down our remote learning path, you and your family will feel supported and loved during these trying times. I will be available for you throughout the rest of the year and I am here to support your family. I have provided my email address and if you need a call, please email me and I will get in touch with you ASAP.Please be patient as our teachers also figure out how to engage students from behind a computer. Educators are use to being with their student’s day in and day out and I know that they too are struggling with not being able to support your child/children in the same ways as they did in the classroom. I also know that Kaiser is a family, filled with the most inspirational educators in the world and they will do everything in their power to ensure their students stay connected and will continue to thrive as Leopard learners!!Please know that I want you all to be well and cared for. If you need anything at all, please reach out. I am here for you!! We will get through this and I have to believe we will all come out of this with more understanding and grace as we maneuver through our new normal..Stay safe, stay healthy and know we are all in this together.Mrs. Vasta
