This two semester course would introduce the basics in competitive debate. Students will learn all aspects of quality argumentation, as well as public speaking skills and research skills. Each student will be required to compete in two beginner tournaments in the fall, and are welcome to compete in more tournaments throughout the year.

In this course students will focus on one or more of the following areas: graphic design, advanced publishing techniques, copywriting, journalism, editing and photography while producing a creative, innovative yearbook which records school memories and events. There is an emphasis on journalism skills in this class!

Spanish 1
Students use gestures and stories to learn basic Spanish. A variety of activities including acting, drawing pictures, reading and writing stories, using props, incorporating technology, listening to music and talking are used to gain and demonstrate understanding of the language. Students will also explore the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and make comparisons to their own culture. Studying a foreign language will enhance career opportunities and fulfill college admission requirement.

This mid-level language arts course is designed for Native or Heritage Spanish speakers who wish to develop and challenge their ability in speaking, reading, writing, listening, and culture development in Spanish. This course offers Spanish-speaking students the opportunity to study Spanish formally in an academic setting in the same way native English-speaking students study English language arts.

Rifle Marksmanship
All cadets who participate in rifle marksmanship receive gun safety training first and then practice rifle marksmanship in range firing activities. Prone, Standing and Kneeling Positions. JROTC competition firing is done in three standard firing positions.
Raider Team
The Raider team is the most physically demanding extracurricular activity in JROTC. A well rounded raider team must be in top notch shape as many of the activities include push ups, sit ups, and / or running. A raider team consist of minimum 8 and maximum of 9 members on a team, this is not gender dictated
Color Guard
Is a marching unit that performs routines based on military drill. Cadets can perform either armed or unarmed drill during competitive drill competitions. The competitive Color Guard is an extracurricular Army JROTC team responsible for presenting the flag in a variety of settings
Honor Platoon Drill Team
Honor Platoon is a team that is offered by the JROTC program where cadets gather creativity skills, teamwork skills, and exhibition skills. Honor Platoon is a synchronized and precise choreography routine created through a collaboration of the cadets. The HP Team
