Happy February to all! According to Punxsutawney Phil, it looks like winter is here to stay. The forecast for the first weeks of February brings a mix of temperatures. When weather permits, we love getting our students outside for recess, so please continue sending your child to school dressed for outdoor play.

As a reminder, if inclement weather requires schools to close, the district may call a Remote Learning Day. If this becomes necessary, iPads and materials will be sent home the day before. Remote Learning Days are regular school days, and attendance is taken. Students are expected to join their virtual meetings and complete assigned work. If a student does not attend or complete their work, they will be marked absent for the day.

For families with students in grades 3, 4, and 5, I am needing to share this year's PSSA testing window. The ELA PSSA testing window is April 20 to 24, while the Math, Science, and Make-Up testing window is from April 27 to May 7. These are state mandated assessments for all students in grades 3 through 8. Please work to avoid scheduling doctor's visits or other appointments during these dates. Also, no educational trip forms (SERF passes) will be approved for students during these testing windows.
