Eligibility

Eligibility for after school activities and functions: 6th – 8th Grade

To help our students focus on academic priorities, students must maintain their grades in order to represent the school in activities or after school functions. Activities for which eligibility must be maintained include school-sponsored sports, Fine Arts Competitions, Spelling Bee, Future Cities, debate clubs, etc. Any student whose grades include 2 or more D’s or 1 F will be ineligible.

When a student is academically ineligible, he or she may regain eligibility provided his/her grades meet eligibility requirements at the end of each week. Any student who receives a referral or is suspended will be ineligible. A student’s attendance must be “In Good Standing” and he/she must attend school at least 50% of the day of the game/event in order to participate.

Being academically ineligible will not keep a student from participating in activities such as the Holiday Party, classroom school parties, school wide assemblies, dances, etc.
