APPROACH
Theoretical
Starting from the history of art, modern and contemporary in particular, this course identifies the contact points between the world of art and the culture of design, providing ideas to suit personal and original approaches to the project’s theme.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Develop their knowledge of the historic, artistic, cultural, social and economic roots of art, with particular reference to the Italian context
Identify and rework the links between art and design, together with their aesthetic reference models
Apply artistic research tools to their search for project references
Enhance their overall project awareness

This is a theoretical course. Didactic activities may include:
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools for detailed study
Classroom debates and presentations

Assessment is based on the overall competence of the students and may include:
Oral exam
Written exam
Submission of papers, projects or research work
