APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course leads to the full development of all the necessary skills to manage an interior design project for complex public spaces. The students acquire the ability to manage the entire design process, from concept to executive design, including the strategies to present the project in all of its phases. The integrated didactic module provides in-depth study on specific research and project topics, to be determined according with the project theme.
This teaching is made of a single module of 12 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Lead and manage the development of a complete interior design project
Apply and reconsider the methodology according to the personal project objectives
Rework and reorganize the project brief
Carry out research to generate new knowledge and/or identify new meanings to be activated through the project
Create a flawless visualization of space and create successful communication for the project
Acquire thorough and comprehensive knowledge of materials and technologies that are used in specific areas of interior design
Acquire skills and methods to accurately lead the project in the areas of decoration and/or architectural details
Complex public spaces
Display areas, symbolic spaces, places of high historical value
Concept, moodboards, references, inspiration
Hybrid methods of space representation
Aesthetic techniques and codes for advanced rendering, photorealism, mixed realit
Decorative aspects of objects and surfaces
Analysis of architectural and/or structural details
Representation techniques for architectural details
This is a theoretical/project based course. Over the course, the students will carry out didactic activities that are functional to achieving the learning goals, that in both modules may include:
Classroom lectures
Exercises and revisions
Field trips
Development of individual projects
Individual study and research
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools for detailed study
Assessment is based on the final project presentation and may include:
Oral exam
Complete projects
Assessed revisions or mid-term tests
The assessment criteria consider the quality of contents, methodological consistency of the project, maturity in the acquisition of design tools and quality of the space representation.
