The school nurse, a parent, a P.E. teacher, or a physician may medically excuse students. Parents may excuse their child from participation for up to three days (a signed, written note, or parent verified email is required). Documentation from a physician must be provided for medical excuses extending beyond three days. Students without a physician's note after the three days will not be able to earn their Daily Mustang Points. Students who are medically excused are expected to attend class and complete any in-class work, homework, quizzes, or tests assigned by the teacher. Medically excused students are exempt from motor skill assessments, authentic assessments, and active participation assessments.
