· Student assignments have moved to the Classwork tab where teachers can assign work for students to complete. The Classwork page can be organized into units/topics and reorganized by the teacher.
· The Stream tab is now used to post announcements and facilitate student discussion.
· Use the Settings icon within a Class page to display the class code and adjust student posting settings.
· The grading and feedback options have been updated for ease of teacher use. When opening an assignment to grade, the student’s work will open in a new grading framework page where you can comment on the student’s work, input the grade, and then immediately and more simply move to the next student’s assignment. You can even create your own comment bank to pull from when responding to student work within the document.
· Notifications for individual classes can now be controlled on the Settings page. Use the three lines menu on the left-hand side of the page and click on Settings on the bottom to access this page.
· Even Google Forms is getting an update! Soon you will be able to create quizzes and enable locked mode. Locked mode, when on Chromebooks, will keep students focused on the Google Forms quiz page and disable navigation to other websites.
