Performing Arts
The Arts in the Primary
Ms. Esther runs a singing and stage production group, more commonly known as 'Glee club' for grades Transition to 2 and Grade 3 to 6 and an A Capella group for Secondary students. Their hard work is celebrated in an annual nighttime concert showcasing their amazing performances.
Once every two years DIS primary team will also stage a major production or musical play, this runs over three nights and involves the whole of the PYP students in some capacity over the three nights.
Art in Secondary
In the Middle Years Programme Performing Art is offered as a subject for Grades 7 and 10 for one semester each year. Studio Arts is offered at the VCE level. Extra curricular art classes are also provided to ensure students have a way to express themselves creatively and build portfolios. There is a senior school production performed each year which showcase the talents of our young thespians.
School Productions
Both Primary and Secondary run school productions which are a spectacular display of theatre and music. There is an annual secondary production and the primary production is run every two years and on the alternate year students perform at an end of year concert.
