Expertas al volante
Expertas al volante
At DiDi, we’re committed to empowering women in the mobility industry, building community, and boosting female participation behind the wheel. This month, we’ve reached exciting milestones across the South Cone region, with impactful events in Argentina and a new launch in Chile!
Two years ago, we kicked off the DiDi Women’s Drivers Academy—a program dedicated to supporting women drivers, fostering confidence, and providing practical tools for safe, empowered driving. Building on this success, we recently celebrated the 4th Academy edition in Argentina and launched “Expertas al Volante” in Chile for the first time!
Driving Skills and Connections: Argentina’s 4th Edition
The fourth edition of DiDi's Women Drivers Academy in Argentina was super inspiring day! +50 female drivers dove into hands-on workshops led by the Argentine Red Cross and Driver’s Institute for Road Safety, mastering essential skills in first aid and safe driving.
But it was more than just training—the event created an open space for drivers to share stories, voice concerns, and connect as a community. We celebrated five standout drivers, while top journalists and influencers helped amplify our commitment to economic empowerment and safety for women behind the wheel.
Chile’s First “Expertas al Volante”
Our debut event in Santiago, “Expertas al Volante,” gathered Chilean drivers and media outlets for a day filled with mechanics workshops, experience-sharing, and a special ceremony recognizing top drivers.
With influencer Cristina Valderrama leading practical sessions, women drivers left with new skills, a strengthened sense of community, and the pride of their accomplishments. With over 6.8 million trips completed by DiDi Mujer drivers by mid-year, we’re thrilled to see the platform growing as a trusted resource for women in Chile.
Our events made waves with incredible media engagement!
In Argentina, 10 top journalists and influencers helped spread the word, leading to 10 articles and 28 dynamic social posts. In Chile, over 15 journalists and influencers joined GA stakeholders to celebrate, resulting in 63 articles and 50 social media posts that lit up the conversation.
