Last week, our teams made history as 99Food arrived in Rio de Janeiro, marking another major milestone in our expansion journey across Brazil. Beyond a city launch, this moment celebrates the passion, collaboration, and relentless drive of every Oranger who makes #EveryDayBetterForEveryone.
What a week! From great press events to courier gatherings and a massive concert that lit up Rio, our teams made the city shine yellow. Relive the best moments 👇
A milestone moment took place at the iconic Copacabana Palace, where Simeng Wang (General Director of 99 in Brazil), together with Bruno Rossini (Sr. Director of Comms) and Luis Gamper (Sr. Director of Logistics), announced the official launch of 99Food to the press.
📣 Over 30 media outlets attended, resulting in 227 stories published — 18 % in top-tier media.
The message was clear: 99Food is here to redefine convenience and empower restaurants, couriers, and consumers across Brazil.
At our Courier Hub launch in Botafogo, Simeng Wang joined Rio’s Mayor Eduardo Paes to inaugurate a new rest and support space for couriers.
🧃The “Parada” hub offers hydration stations, rest areas, charging spots, and community spaces, showing 99 Food’s commitment to improving working conditions for delivery partners.
🚴🏽♂️ The city announced more hubs coming soon in Madureira, Recreio, São Cristóvão, and more districts.
Over the past weeks, our team hosted courier engagement spot across the city, handing out almost 30 000 free 99Food bags 🎒 and hosting fun activities with prizes like jackets and free e-bike rental months.
☕ Couriers enjoyed welcome coffee and conversations with 99Food leaders who shared our mission and the benefits of partnering with us.
This initiative has boosted courier visibility and strengthened our connection with those who move our business every day.
This launch is only the beginning of our journey in Rio. The yellow wave keeps growing — Thanks to every Oranger who helped make this moment possible.
