Join us for 4 sessions to become security superheroes.
First up: The "Expert Interview" Threat
Beware of outsiders posing as researchers or experts to extract sensitive DiDi/IBG secrets. Here’s how to spot and stop them:
1. What’s an "Expert Interview"?
A tactic used by third parties to steal trade secrets through seemingly harmless questions.
Secrets they target:
Business data & strategic plans
Technical solutions
Compensation systems
Organizational details
Partnership agreements
Common formats:
LinkedIn • WhatsApp • Email • Calls • Video interviews
2. How to spot the trap?
Reject immediately if you see:
Requests framed as "industry research" or "market analysis"
Questions about competitors/industry insights
Offers of payment for participation
Requests for private contact info (personal phone/email)
Vague research purposes or funders
3. What should you do if you're approached?
1) REFUSE ALL INVITATIONS
2) REPORT IMMEDIATELY (Proactive reporters may be recognized and rewarded!)
To report, provide:
Date/time of contact
Requester’s name/org/contact info
Method used (LinkedIn, email, etc.)
Information requested
Screenshots/records
Reporting Channels:
China-based staff: email your report to sstg-rpt@didiglobal.com
