Dear Parents and Students,

While the campus has needed to be closed this week, learning continues. Our teachers continue to emphasize interaction, inquiry, response, practice and creativity. While the online classroom and learning may look different, and be structured differently, continuous learning provides experiences that are aligned with the curriculum.

Connection & Community - We want to see and talk with students.

Support Student Learning - We want to adjust the way we deliver instruction and provide feedback on student work to support each individual student.

Daily routines - Provide for healthier new habits.

OUR APPROACH

• Learning materials are shared via ManageBac or Google Docs / Slides

• Learning activities are engaging, inquiry-based explorations.

• Learning activities may be completed:

  • independently online

  • collaboratively online, via chat, video conference or other collaborative tools

• Learning activities have a number of purposes:

  • allow students to engage with new learning

  • practice, discuss or apply learning

  • demonstrate knowledge and skills in relation to learning

• Assessment tasks enable students to demonstrate their understanding
