DeSoto East Middle School Students,

We would like to use this opportunity to let you know that the Band program at East Middle School is reaching out to all current 6th and 7th graders at DeSoto East MS who might be interested in participating in the Band program this school year. We offer classes that teach you how to play Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion (Drums).

We currently have room available in all instrument classes. We not only teach our students to play an instrument, but we also teach students to compose their own music. You do not need to know how to play an instrument or know how to read music in order to join. We will teach you everything you need to know. Come have fun and enjoy a yearlong experience in one our outstanding Band classes at DeSoto East!

If you are interested in joining the East Band please send an email with your full name, grade, student ID and a good phone number to reach your parent or guardian. Someone from the Band will call you and schedule an appointment to help select your instrument.

Thank you,

DeSoto East Band
