Week of March 2-6, 2026
This week, I had the pleasure of serving as a guest reader to kick off "Read Across America" week at KJ. I read two books to the entire Kindergarten and First Grade cohort. I also visited The Meadows Elementary, and read to the students at Amber Terrace Early Learning Center. Additionally, I held an introductory meeting with the ISC team, where we had a meaningful discussion about our expectations for excellence and the importance of protecting the shield.
I also met with representatives from the Communities Foundation of Texas, Dallas County Promise, and Educate Texas. Furthermore, I began my weekly meetings with Procedeo and WRA to discuss progress on the bond, review expenditures, and make recommendations.
Moreover, I had meetings with the Human Capital Management, Research and Design, and Finance teams to explore opportunities for becoming more fiscally conservative. I also started discussions with our legal team to understand all pending and current litigation, which includes settling past due transportation bills and ensuring that we are current with our School Resource Officers.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the Board Meeting, Team of 8 Training, and the Meet and Greet this week. "Let's Get It"
