you get the idea...

see above...
Consider your available instructional time - you may be able to REALISTICALLY complete two cycles of 10 - 2 - 2
Plan for this - come prepared to create space for 2 Individual Reflection Activities and 2 Collaborative Activities
These could be the same things! Find a few that work for you and keep using them as a SYSTEM.
Keep in mind - systems take time to develop. The more familiarity students have with systems and routines, the smoother these will go. Don't Give Up!
Also - how cool would it be if we, at DRA, ALL used the same 4-6 systems for collaboration and reflection? Just saying... Sounds like a SAST time discussion
This could be DIRECT INSTRUCTION (Lecture/Slides)
Don't forget to connect DIRECT INSTRUCTION to EQs! Students must make clear connections here
Keep them engaged - try using some QUICK FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS
If you are showing a Video Resource
I have a whole page dedicated to this HERE
Break up a video if it's longer than 10 minutes, they need time to digest!
OR - edit your video to an appropriate length (do you REALLY need all 15 minutes?)
Individual Warm Up
Maybe a variation on KWL (what I KNOW, what I WANT to know ... fill in the "L" at the end)
List everything you remember about _________
A quick handwritten or typed one-pager:
Answer the E.Q. (or, multiple EQs)
Use an "I Can" Statement with support
Reply to a QUESTION prompt in Google Classroom
A drawing or illustration
Graphic organizer - fill in specific to match the chunk of content
Reflect/Recall previous knowledge - What is going to prepare my brain to be the most receptive to the new stuff for today?
Digital Exit Ticket
Individual Padlet Post (www.padlet.com)
Revise previous work to apply new concepts
Flip (formerly FLIPGRID)
Keep in mind - collaboration does NOT have to be verbal - don't forget about your introverts! Their comfort matters.
Your introverts may need a written option, or an option to contribute without being forced to speak to a partner.
Perhaps small groups could be best in some cases so that introverts can participate without being forced into an uncomfortable one-on-one scenario.
You know your students best, some students will need coercion to participate because they are being defiant, but some (introverts) legitimately don't function that way
Group Warm-Up
List everything you remember about _________
Exit Ticket (Google Form?)
A Padlet post (www.padlet.com) Or Jamboard
Respond to a prompt in Google Classroom (Question or Comment section), and comment on one other peer response
We want to make sure we are not limiting our students to DOK1, Bloom's Level 1 (Remembering) or Level 2 (Understanding), or Costas' Level 1 (Input). Let's make sure we are sprinkling in more rigor, or "The HOTS"
