Teacher View - Launching a Test Session (Instructions)
If you have a class with mixed grade levels, you must launch all appropriate tests by grade level
Students will need to choose the correct test based on their grade level when they login
Student Instructions/View - Logging Into the Secure Browser (Make sure it is the CA not the CB)
Students must select their appropriate grade level
DFAs are in hard copy for you, as well as online
The hard copy of the DFA is the stapled packet in your testing supplies
Access your DFA for CAASPP/CAST online here (It's the same thing as the printed one that you have)

Students can find their own SSID on StudentVUE. Share THIS on your LFD /Google Classroom
Find your 4th-period roster's SSID Cards HERE

Reminders:
Once logged in to your test session, students should have an INACTIVE status message for any tests they have finished. If they see any tests still marked ACTIVE, that means they have something that remains to be finished. For some of them who insist that they are finished, it may be as simple as clicking "submit test" at the end to finalize their responses.
WEDNESDAY, May 17: MAKEUPS - ELA & MATH
9:00 - 9:15: Settle into the testing environment
Check your SPED Lists to make sure your SPED students are in the right place
Take Attendance
Mindfulness Activity (at your discretion)
Distribute SSID Cards, (Headphones only needed for ELA CAT), Scratch Paper, Pencils
Stow Backpacks/Belongings, phones off, etc
Launch all four tests for all grade levels you have been assigned:
MATH Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)

9:15 - 10:30: MAKEUPS - ELA & MATH
Have a plan for students who are finished with all four tests
Remind students to keep going until they have the option to “SUBMIT TEST”
PLEASE monitor your students, make sure they are working and on-task. Many are taking advantage of the extra time/makeup process. Keep them moving!
Students may need to move between tests as-needed, be prepared to accept their requests in the TA Interface.
If you are unsure if a student is finished - ask students to make sure students log in to your testing session on their secure browser, the test options should be “Grayed Out” with a message that indicates that they have no more attempts.
10:30 - 10:34: Collect testing materials (bags/headphones)
Students who require more time, and WANT to keep their scratch paper for later should put their names on their scratch paper
Collect and separate all scratch paper for students who wish to save it, add to your EXTRA TIME ENVELOPE
All other scratch paper must be collected, secured, and destroyed
Release students to 1st Period at 10:34

Practice tests are more self-paced for students, and they will log in w/chromebooks just like they will for the real thing

You will be prompted to log in to TOMS
On the right, click the Arrow for "Start a New Test Session Now"
At the bottom, you will choose Desert Ridge Academy, Click GO
Select Smarter Balanced Balanced Practice Tests
ELA has two options: CAT & PT
Math has two options: CAT & PT
If you have a class with multiple grade levels, you will need to select the appropriate grades
Write the TEST SESSION ID# on the board (it should start with TRAIN-xxx-xx)
