This sacred online space is for our DepEd-Naga personnel who are very busy, but at the same time, desire to explore their own spirituality, and to pray and rest in the Lord. It is part of our continuing implementation of our Employee Wellness Program.
On these days of personal integration, we are making S.P.A.C.E- that is, we are creating spaces to advance, to grow spiritually, thereby creating greater personal effectiveness as well.
In the desire itself to pray, you are already praying. The desire to pray is the evidence that God is already at work, at prayer, in you.
The prayer that we will be engaged in n these days, is about the prayer of the heart, intimate prayer, praying from where we are. Most of us pray far more than we think we do. Anytime we reflect on our families, our children, our students, our job, something we are grateful for, that is beautiful prayer. Many of us think prayer is thinking about and talking to God out there. But prayer begins with reality. The first reality we have is ourselves and that’s where prayer begins.
Welcome to “Making S.P.A.C.E.”
Making Space for Personal Advancement that Creates Effectiveness
DAYS OF PERSONAL INTEGRATION (March 3-31, 2021)
This is an online SPACE that shall be dedicated to providing you with prayer resources and materials that have been gathered together from different sources, for your Days of Personal Integration during the season of Lent. Each day of the week during the days of the Lenten season, you are invited to spend time in private, personal prayer for at least 15 minutes, or even an extended period, if you are able to. The prayer materials will help you deeply savor the spiritual gifts of this season of grace. To help you begin these days of personal prayer:
Choose the best time that suits the rhythm of your day, and try praying at the same time each day. This will help you establish the habit of praying.
Find a regular space to pray. It can be a quiet room in your house that can be marked and decorated with a crucifix, candle, rosary or any other sacred object.
Try using light, soft, meditative music in your time of prayer if it helps you quiet down.
Become aware of the grace that you ask for from the Lord in these days of prayer and pray for this grace at the beginning of each prayer. But remember that the greatest gift is God’s loving presence and loving gaze upon you in your time of prayer and throughout the day.
Do the prayers suggested for each day of the week.
Close your time of prayer with the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be or you may spontaneously pray to our Lord with your own words.
Use your body to mark the end of your prayer, by bowing in reverence, making a gesture such as lifting up your hands, or making the sign of the cross.
