David P. Jimenez Elementary School, formerly known as Barrio Wawa School, is an urban educational institution established in 1949. It initially offered grades one to four and is located in Barangay Wawa 1, Rosario, Cavite. The first batch of Grade VI students graduated in 1963, and since then, the school has expanded significantly, with new buildings constructed over time to accommodate a growing student population. As of the 2024-2025 school year (August), the school serves 2,504 learners.
With an enrollment exceeding 2,000 students, the school has a substantial faculty and staff, led by Principal Mr. Domingo R. Cueto. There are 82 teachers assigned to various grade levels: eight in kindergarten, twelve each in grades one through four, and thirteen each in grades five and six. Additionally, the school employs one administrative officer, one administrative aide, one utility staff funded by the national government, and one job order staff member.
The campus features modern buildings and grounds with lighting and water facilities. Currently, there are 18 school buildings housing 49 rooms—38 of which are used for instruction and 11 for ancillary purposes.
