Bambang Elementary School is one of the five schools in School District II (Pasig II), along with San Joaquin, Dr. Sixto Antonio, Buting, and Kalawaan elementary schools. Located in Barangay Bambang, the school has a rich history that dates back to 1950 when it was established as an annex of Dr. Sixto Antonio Elementary School, originally known as Dr. Sixto Antonio Elementary School Unit I.
Our school primarily serves students from low-income families, who often require additional support from the local government. Despite these economic challenges, Bambang Elementary School has achieved the status of a Standardized Institution, recognized for its outstanding accomplishments.
The journey began with a modest four-room building on a 2,801-square-meter lot. In 1963, the annex grew into a complete primary school, and by 1965, it became an independent elementary school still under the name Dr. Sixto Antonio Elementary School (Unit I). At that time, the school had 513 pupils and 12 teachers, including the Teacher-In-Charge. The school's growth and development since then have been remarkable, thanks to the tireless efforts and dedication of successive administrators, teachers, the PTA, and civic-minded citizens.
In 1984, the school's name was officially changed to Bambang Elementary School by Batasang Pambansa. From its humble beginnings to the present day, significant improvements in the physical plant and facilities have been made. This progress is attributed to the strong leadership of administrators who have continuously maintained and monitored the school's facilities, academic performance, curriculum, and teacher support as leadership passed from one administration to the next.
The pride in our school's remarkable achievements in both academic and extracurricular activities is shared by the administrators, teachers, students, supportive parents, and local government units. Their combined efforts and unwavering support have been crucial in meeting the growing needs of our expanding school community.
