Jog-a-thon is Dennis Chavez Elementary’s LARGEST fundraiser! It is a fun, healthy event where participants jog or walk as many laps as they can in 15 minutes and raise money to support our school. Funds from this event are used to fund supplemental curriculums, updated technology, resources for our STEAM lab, teacher allotments for classroom needs, and other valuable student programs at Dennis Chavez Elementary.
We use an awesome web based fundraising system that makes it easy for you to request donations from your family and friends. It's fun and it's easy!

Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
Follow the instructions on-screen to register students
When you finish, the system automatically emails donation requests to your uploaded contacts.
This allows them to make secure credit card donations online.
They may also donate with cash or check (made out to DCES PTA).
Please send donations in a sealed envelope with the participants name and teacher labeled ‘DCES PTA - Jogathon’ to 7500 Barstow St. NE Albuquerque, NM 87109.
You get notified each time a donation is made and you can track your donation progress online.

The student who raises the MOST funds through Pledgestar will get to be the “Student Principal for a Day”

*Please note: All sponsorship forms, donations, and logos must be received by Friday, October 9, 2025 to ensure recognition at the Jog-a-thon event on the 24th!We need volunteers at the event to help set up, count/tally laps, pass out popsicles, and so much more! You must have an UNSUPERVISED background clearance to volunteer at the event!
*PTA member not required to volunteer at the eventIt can take some time to complete the background clearance process. Start TODAY by filling out this google form with your information.
